2018 Barrel 24

In 2018 the vines were now 15 years old, and the growing conditions near perfect. The fruit came into the winery in flawless condition. Tasting through the barrels, it was clear that one stood out from the rest. We isolated it, extended the ageing period, and gave it every priority to show the hallmarks of a grand wine.

Barrel 24 is a seductive, powerful, well-structured Pinot Noir exuding savoury perfume and textural tension: a true culmination of Winemaker Brent Rowland's experience, and Owner Andy Johnston's original vision for the Cowichan Valley.
